We will be putting together the lineup for the 2024 performances.
The Cosmos Troupe's May-August 2024 performance "Takarazuka 110 Years of Love Songs FINAL FANTASY XVI" has been announced.
The Star Troupe's "RRR" was also quite shocking, but "FINAL FANTASY" also had a big impact.
Japanese Revue
The Takarazuka Revue 110th Anniversary Commemorative Dance is typical of Takarazuka Revue, which values tradition.
The 90th and 100th anniversary commemorative performances were a triple bill including a Japanese revue.
It seems that the Moon Troupe and Cosmos Troupe shared the work to lighten the burden on each troupe. Is this a work style reform?
The poet Fujiwara Teika (Serika Toa) is guided by a beautiful woman (Haruno Sakura) and Teika embarks on a journey to a mysterious world where countless love songs are written...
It seems to be a revue with a story like "The Castle of the Heron" written and directed by Takushi Ohno.
In "The Castle of the Heron," the two people who meet across time, the onmyoji (Makaze Suzuho) and the fox spirit (Hoshikaze Madoka), were dramatic and interesting.
Public Call for Participants
A notice has been announced regarding requests for "songs related to love from Japanese works that have been performed in the past."
Previously, there was a request for a revue and show for the 20th anniversary of the Cosmos Troupe.
There are so many songs, from well-known masterpieces to ones that just remind you of something wonderful, so it's hard to choose.
The power of FINAL FANTASY
Among the news reports announcing the lineup for the 2024 performances on July 10th and a press conference, the headline that was most prevalent was that "FINAL FANTASY XVI" will be performed at the Takarazuka Revue.
Over 180 million copies shipped and downloaded worldwide. Apparently, "FINAL FANTASY XVI (FF16)" alone has sold over 3 million copies.
The stylish Cosmos troupe would be a perfect fit for the characters in the game.
This is a big step in Takarazuka Revue's global strategy.
Takarazuka Revue broadcasted the Tokyo final performance of the Cosmos troupe's "Casino Royale" worldwide in 2023.
FF16 is well-known around the world, and the plan is to broadcast it worldwide with the talented Serika/Haruno duo.
If it attracts attention from all over the world
Tickets are already hard to come by, and if customers come from overseas to see the show... there is a concern that Takarazuka fans won't be able to see it. There are limited seats.
"If there is no bread, eat sweets (brioche, rich bread)" and "If there are no seats, build a theater."
The "Umekita Area" (Umeda, Osaka) west of JR Osaka Station is undergoing large-scale development, and the "Sky Theater MBS" with about 1,300 seats will open in March 2024 in the nearby "JR Tower Osaka".
I don't know if this theater will perform Takarazuka Revue, but it is a possible candidate.
A review would definitely be fun.
This much emphasis on singing
Serika-san really sings well, doesn't she?
I think Haruno-san was chosen to play the daughter role with singing ability for top star Serika-san.
A magic spell was cast on Cinderella and a beautiful dress and glass slippers were prepared (the theater company was the magician).
It wasn't the glittering dress, but Cinderella's charm (Haruno's voice, singing, and clear appearance) that made the prince (Serika) fall in love with her.
If I had to describe Haruno, I'd say "Cinderella."
I can't wait to hear the beautiful harmony that the prince and Cinderella will create.
It's rare to see them paired together like this.
I'm participating in a ranking.
I'd be happy if you could click on the banner.
