Hello
A short blog update today
The other day,
Mr. S's Hiace van was brought in
I'm really curious...
Hiace auxiliary mirror...
Commonly known as the "Guts mirror"
So I removed it
Rim Corporation's
replaceable fender panel makes it smooth
It's easy to remove
However, if you're wondering what it's for,
it's there to prevent accidents when starting or parking
It's a tall vehicle with a lot of blind spots
It's a measure to make sure you can see the blind spots even when you're sitting in the driver's seat
Since it is mandatory, if you remove it, the vehicle will not be able to pass the vehicle inspection.
So what we did was to install a camera instead of a mirror.
The front camera is in this position.
We use a KENWOOD high-angle camera, so it covers the corners.
We installed a side camera at the bottom of the door mirror.
You can also see up to the fuel tank.
We wanted to make it practical, so we prepared two monitors.
You can turn it on and off when necessary with a switch.
Next, we installed a PIVOT throttle controller.
The purpose is the cruise control function.
We used the Toyota genuine cruise control switch to add a cruise control function that was not originally installed on the Hiace.
Since it is not radar cruise control,
you need to manage your vehicle speed according to the road conditions, but
it is useful for long-distance driving.
We also installed wiper blades and wiper arms from LEXUS.
We also converted the front turn signals to LED.
Thank you very much for your continued support, Mr. S.
